WATERANDBIRDS - Documentary 2021

 

This is a film about the beautiful, simple and peaceful life of the water birds of the lake of my town. It is a film about nature.

This short film was born during the 2021 winter lockdown in Oggiono, Italy, in the Lake Como area. For the past six years I have lived in New York, I have returned to Italy, where I grew up, in March 2020, due to the pandemic. So I thought it would have been interesting to film the life of water birds with my small camera and thus create a self-produced documentary. I learned that this area is not protected, and that various unsuccessful attempts in this direction have been made in the past. Many of the birds present in this area are in danger of life due to hunting. What seemed to me to be a place of peace turned out to be a death trap for many unprotected species. My hope for this basin of water is that one day it will truly become an oasis of peace. The soundtrack is made by David Torn.

On the occasion of the World Environment Day, the Ciak of the short film "Waterandbirds" was broadcast on the Telesia channels from 30 May to 5 June 2022 on the screens of the Rome, Brescia, Genoa and Milan Metro (metro and buses) and in most important airports in Italy. The Ciak has been in rotation with the shorts of other authors and authors, you can see it on the YouTube channel of TelesiaTv.

In occasione della giornata mondiale dell'ambiente il Ciak del corto "Waterandbirds" e' andato in onda sui canali di Telesia dal 30 maggio al 5 giugno 2022 sugli schermi delle Metro di Roma, Brescia, Genova e Milano (metro e autobus) e nei più importanti aeroporti d'Italia.
